You hate the new Star Wars
You are not a fan of the new Star Wars trilogy? Well, then you should most likely not be happy that the upcoming Star Wars movies will build on this more than controversial trilogy. This was announced by the producer Kathleen Kennedy at this year's Star Wars Celebration in California. The Star Wars Celebration is one of the world's largest Star Wars fan conventions and finds from 26. until May 29, 2022 in Anaheim, California . Among other things, there should be the first material for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen 2.
the continuation of the "Sequel-A-A-Afar"
At the fair, Kennedy spoke to the magazine Empire and spoke about the future Star Wars films. According to Kennedy, these are said to be in the "Sequel-A-A-A-Afar", although Kennedy has not talked about specific projects. It is currently known that the filmmaker Taika Waititi should produce a previously unnamed Star Wars film in the future.
Kennedy mentioned in an interview with Empire that the once announced trilogy by filmmaker Rian Johnson is apparently still in the very distant future. Rian Johnson is currently particularly known for the successful film Knives Out . Waititi is currently primarily known for numerous Thor films and Jojo Rabbit.
Star Wars on the wrong track?
It is quite questionable whether other films are a really good idea in the "Sequel-Each". After all, the three new Star Wars titles, predominantly Episode 8 and Episode 9, were at least worth discussing. Episode 8 is currently on IMDB with an average ranking of 6.9 of 10 possible points, episode 9 at 6.5 out of 10 . Episode 8 and 9 could not record as much as the first part of the new trilogy.
While Episode 7 flushed almost a billion US dollars worldwide into the box office, it was less than $ 700 million for the next two films. It remains to be seen how upcoming films will be in this period. In the near future, however, the focus will be on projects such as the Obi Wan series or Star Wars: Andor.
