Star Wars: George Lucas had a problem with baby Yoda
Star Wars Creator George Lucas Since the sale of his Empire Disney in 2012 had a rather complicated relationship with the following Star Wars projects. In any case, the magazine Indiewire reports about him.
- Baby Yoda conquers fan hearts
- George Lucas was uncertain about baby yoda
- George Lucas still has an influence
- How is it with Star Wars?
Originally he wanted to work as a consultant and continue to support the universe created by him with his extensive knowledge. But the relationship with Disney got tensions as the studio in the continuation trilogy of Star Wars wasted from his vision. 2020, the waves seemed to smooth back thanks to a Disney Plus series. The Mandalorian not only conquered the fan hearts worldwide, but also that of George Lucas himself. Nevertheless, the director had a special problem with one of the most loveable characters of the series.
Baby Yoda conquers fan hearts
The Mandalorian continues to be considered one of the best productions that Lucasfilm has produced since the takeover by Disney. The brand inspired by the Western series has undertaken the brand new life, open perspectives for further productions and above all conquered the hearts of the fans.
A special sympathy was one of the main characters of the series: Baby Yoda , or Grogu , as he is actually officially called. Whether young or old, no one can resist the little green being clefness.
George Lucas was uncertain about baby yoda
But when George Lucas visited the filming to the series, he apparently had a problem with the figure of Grogu. This revealed the executive producer Dave Piloni in a new book titled The Art of the Mandalorian: Season 2 .
There, the producer tells that it was a concern for Lucas to ensure that Grogu receives adequate Jedi training. He feared well that the makers of the series would completely ignore this aspect of Grogus hero show. In the book, Filoni says:
"I've talked to George someday about the child. His main concern was that the child has to receive adequate education." _
Filoni has a close relationship with Lucas and had worked with him at The Clone Wars . So it is likely that Filoni wanted to steer the history of Grogu anyway in this direction. Nevertheless, it is exciting to hear that Lucas Filoni has expressed this concern as he discussed the course of the story of Baby Yoda.
George Lucas still has an influence
Despite all the differences over the years, it seems that Lucasfilm still listens when the Star Wars Creator pronounces his concerns. Because Baby Yoda got his Jedi training of no lesser than Luke Skywalker, who has learned even under Master Yoda.
Although the training did not take place in the Mandalorain, but in another Disney Plus series: The Book of Boba Fett . The little Jedi is in the best hands and soothes George Lucas hopefully.
How is it with Star Wars?
The first season of the Book of Boba Fat came to an end this month and although she has not been received by fans throughout a way, there is guesses that they were only to raise new narrative strands for the next season of the Mandalorian. The Third Season by The Mandalorian is currently in production , there is not a publication date yet. This is the next "Star Wars" series in the starting blocks. Next, OBI-WAN is 25. May 2022 on Disney Plus released.
