Star Wars Episode 1: Racer arrives on PS4 & Switch in May
A modern port of the classic race game star Wars Episode 1: Racer launches May 12 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, according to an ad on Thursday. The port is developed by Asper, which is the same studio that worn star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast and its suite CADEMÉME JEDI ON PS4 and SWITCH.
Based on the famous scene of Podracing view in The threat ghost, star wars episode 1: racer has 8 tracks and a race list of 21 characters of the movie such as the young Anakin Skywalker.
On the PlayStation Blog, Chris Bashaar, head of the Aspyr brand, said Providing a port one for one of this classic was not enough for the studio and gave some details on the improvements in the port:
- We have updated all the FMV sequences of the game. The exit resolutions have changed considerably over the last 20 years, just like file size restrictions. This allowed us to re-export any native mode in considerably increased resolutions that will be more beautiful than ever on your 4K TV. Despite the age of the original models, these cinematics are superb and will bring you back to see the track on Tatooine for the first time in 1999.
- We reminded all the orders to feel good for Dualshock 4. It may seem trivial, but really feel like driving a PoRracer takes a very special touch. The orders that captured the thrill of Podracing in 1999 simply do not seem as natural on the modern controller, but our team was dedicated to creating the ultimate experience of Podracing. You can expect natural and modern controls.
- Trophy hunters will be delighted to learn that we have added trophies. You can even prove that you are the ultimate champion of Podracing with a platinum trophy!
