Star Citizen banned some backers before the release

Beitstar Citizen warrant a discussion about a schimp word filter. The called critics on the plan that complained about it, such a filter would restrict the right to freedom of expression and be censorship. But the handling sound in an organization was so shaped by racist concepts that the developers now showered some players and backers.

That's how the discussion began : A user has turned to developers in the forum of Star Citizen to the developers, the developers should install a schimp word filter to exclude at least the worst terms they never live in the right life would use because they are sexist or racist.

A game must provide a secure environment so that all players can feel comfortable.

What belongs to the standard in other games, the community of Star Citizen gave a greater discussion. In response, it was said, among other things (via reddit):

  • Such a filter would take people the opportunity to speak free. It is only treated the symptom, but not the cause.
  • With such a system you would only want to silence people who represent a different opinion. That's also censorship

_The development of Star Citizen is progressing: _

I'm not a racist, but ...

Is Star Citizen 3.14 Ready For It's Free To Play Event? Maybe Not... Who got angry? In the discussion, a group of players entered the crosshair, the Mandalorian Armed Forces (MAF). Now screenshots of Star Citizen and a Discord circle in which the members of the group expressed racist. For example, derogatory and insulting terms for black people were used (via reddit).

But it was always meant, that's not all that meant. But only a misunderstanding, you're just fun: one is not a racist, but ...

People were wrongly going on the group. These are the typical Social Justice Warrior on Twitter or people who sought drama, instead of clarifying things.

Ultimately, members of this group, MAF from Star Citizen, were banned. 4 certified accounts were listed on Reddit (via reddit). These are obviously around Veterans of Star Citizen, which have put a lot of money into the game.

On Reddit, one discusses if the players retire their money or if they realized that by their misconduct.

Controversy discussion about banns

That falls on: In discussions around the spell, it is strongly inflicting that in the forums to Star Citizen there are some who argue that the demand for balking someone for racism from Star Citizen is not legitimate.

So you read in the forum about: political activism have nothing in the forum (via RSI)

Racism have nothing to do with star Citizen, because people are racist, whether they play or not.

Another user says: Just because someone in Star Citizen plays a bloodthirsty pirate who wants to sell others into slavery, that's not a racist yet. People would have to decide between game and reality.

It is much more a problem of discord than that of the developer of Star Citzen.

Other users of Star Citizen contrary here but sharply. You will find the spell well and hold it for alternatively to clearly intervertebrate in racism.

That says CIG itself: They are much less tolerant than parts of their community. In a statement (via RSI), an employee says: Racism has no place in the community of Star Citizen. We pursue a policy of zero tolerance and take every report very seriously.

The problem with racism in MMO guilds is by no case one, which only plagues Star Citizen:

2 top guilds in Wow should be racist: Irrome and really disturbing
