Guild Wars 2: New Elite Specializations and Beta - All Info
The MMORPGGUILD WARS 2 has shown the new elite specializations as part of the presentation of the new END OF Dragons add-on. So far, three of the total nine specializations are known and you can even try it yourself. We from Meinmmo show you how.
What do we know? The big third enlargement for the MMORPG classic Guild Wars 2 is End of Dragons and comes after a shift, in February 2022 on you. Like the previous enhancements, End of Dragons also inserts nine new elite specializations into the game.
In three videos, developer Arenanet now introduces the first specializations and announces a beta in which you can try all three extensively.
What are elite specializations? From level 80 you can in Guild Wars 2, if you have the extensions, learn your elite specializations. As a result, your class changes enormously and gets new mechanics, but this loses the previous ones.
When starts the beta? The beta, which only comprises the first three elite specializations, starts on August 17, 2021 and runs until 21st August 2021. Every player can be played by Guild Wars 2, no matter Whether you bought the game or not to participate.
How do you take part in the beta? You just have to play at the specified time. The beta of the new specializations takes place on the live server, so no additional download or a new login is required.
From the 17th of August you then have new character sites on your account, which are specifically intended for beta characters. There you can create the new elite specializations and try them in full in the current live content.
So the beta runs off
What is the special thing about the beta? Your created characters getting equipment provided with different values, all the necessary skills have learned and of course also level 80. Also your control level takes you on the beta characters. So far, it is still unclear whether your parts of your legendary armory can use on the characters.
But attention: After the beta, the character sites will be removed again and your beta charbs will be deleted. This also applies to all objects that are on this character. Also, all the progress to which you have made with the beta characters is reset. So far things to farms is not worthwhile here.
When's the other specializations? Arenanet already announced additional beta events on the other six elite specializations. These are to follow in September and October, but there are no accurate appointments here, or what specializations will be.

This is the virtuoso: The new specialization of the Mesmer is a kind of dagger magician. So far, the Mesmer clone could create by itself. This ability loses virtuoso and instead conjures daggers of magic to make them down to his enemies.
As a new weapon he gets a dagger. In the meta, it will probably be a power DPS class.
In this video you see the virtuoso:
This is the harbinger: The necromant gets a pistol donated by the harbinger and becomes a dark alchemist. He can brew elixirs and use his enemies and curse their enemies and will be able to transfer his "pain to others, according to Lore. He seems to lose the classic necromant veil and gets its own harbinger veil.
As a new weapon, he can lead the pistol. In the meta, it will probably be a state-DPS class.
In this video you see the harbinger:
This is the willdresser: The new guard is a fast defender, true to the motto: Attack is the best defense. He storms with two swords into the battle and relies on agility and mobility. In the video he jumps over the battlefield and can heat his enemies properly. As a new weapon, he gets a second sword. In the meta, it will probably be a power DPS class. In this video you can see the willdresser: Of course we keep you up to date on upcoming elite specializations. Which of the new specializations is best and which style of play do you like?
