Remake of Star Wars: Kotor without Bioware - Can the wellbeing?

The Remake of Star Wars: Kotor without Bioware (and EA)?

Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic was created in 2003 by Bioware and soon crowned by many fans as the best Star Wars roleplay at all. That first HONT a remake seems almost crazy as the fact that the actual developers of the original will probably not be involved.
